So I leave Dc this morning and finally make in to Las Vegas. Got my rental car and made my way to the hotel..starving the whole time. Only thing I've eaten since 8am was some airline peanuts, wheat thins and 2 cups of coffee. I get to my room, throw my bags on the bed and proceed to setup the computer. Fighting with the wireless internet connection to get online..still starving, smelling like crusty airplane ass and full luggage bags on the floor. So here I sit posting on the web when I have much better things I can be doing......DANM YOU CK5!!!

I have no alcohol in the room. Guess I could hit a casino and get some freebies....especially since I'm told my first day of work here wont be until Thursday night. Hell, I can have the kids college money all gone by then /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

DUDE... the Aladdin! Check out the X show /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif (its erotic but not hardcore nudy /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)
The BEST buffett was called the City Market. TONS of selections, lots for the sweet tooth but also had alot meats and sides, veggies and fruits.

I think I hit most of the "FREE" afternoon shows (buy a drink for $6 and get in free). Those are OK, I won about $600 in the Aladdin and $100 at the monte carlo, lost a bunch at the ballagio, caught a couple nightly shows at the tropicana, if you have time and haven't seen it before the dinner theater at the Excaliber is pretty cool (like Midevil Times). Dont pass up the RIO just because its off the strip, I liked it there too. There's a huge Cigar bar and they have some good shows there. We never really got down to the StarDust end. We walked the strip a few times watched the Pirate show and the fountains.

The one day we where shopping I took every brochure and pamphelt (sp?) that the people outside where handing out. I lost count less than halfway through and was over 100 and had a whole bag full of the handouts /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif Its funny, but having a printing background and knowing about paper consumption and printing its really hard to believe the amount and quailty of material that gets tossed daily /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Have fun, take pics, keep us posted /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

If you see my car , tell it I really miss it! I forgot to bring it home with me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was there 6days, left Indiana with $300. Got up to about $800 at one point, dropped alot of cash on food, shows and booze /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif, then I bought some toys and stuff for people, gambled some more and I still got back on the plane with $125 /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Just went there about a month ago -
    Fawgin awesome time !
We stayed at the Lucky Lady (Lady Luck ?) Good price, nice hotel, but it's at the tail end of the strip, allthough - right by the Freemont Street Experience - which is pretty cool !
Walked the strip the next day. We were only able to make one show (buy a drink, shows for free). Shoping 'n stuff. cought some of the other shows from the strip.
Then we moved to the Venetian, big high doller hotel - worth every penny. We spent the entire day right there.
    Awesome time !

The only thing I'd have liked to have changed would be, catching a few of the prime-time shows - I didn't know where or when they were on/at. Other than that.. I highly recomend following the same format. Figure, I spent about a grand there, for two - well worth it.

Well, the good thing about my trip is that I'm gonna be here for 3 months (I think it's a good thing /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif).
Right now I'm waiting for the hotel to start serving the free brekfast . It's pretty cool since I get to stay here for free and have a free car with paid for gas,,I LOVE MY JOB /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif
Might wait to see some of the better shows until next month when the wife comes out to visit.

JJ, I'll keep an eye out for my..err, your car /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

HAHAHAHA...I just opened one of my bags. There was some kind of white powder around the zipper. The bag was locked. I opened it up to find a leaflet from the TSA (transportation safety admin) stating that they opened my bag for inspection. I wonder if they thought the white powdery stuff was anthrax?...it was foot powder /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
I think I forgot to twist the tops closed. Everything in the bag turned white /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Tour the Marrs Candy Factory, I'm told it's awesome what they do there, that the technology is way beyond what you'd expect of a candy factory. It's out east of town somewhere sort of towards the lake.
