I have had 2 K-5 blazers. Never new that there were bolts that hold down the top from under the side panels in the back.
The other 2 blazers I had didnt have them on there or they didnt have the guide hole either. My brother-in-law and I spent and hour figuring out that there were bolts under there. If I would have looked at bright blue and white sticker says remove bolts from under side panels before removing top (duh). I just couldn't believe that the top has never been off it.

I'm like you Will. The bigger and brighter the sign, the less of it I see. Lucky for me I had one of my kids with me while I was taking it off and he pointed it out.

Yeah the older Blazers didn't have them. Not sure when it came in. Not on my 75 and never removed the roof on my 79 (A/C works good)

My granddad's 79 didn't have the bolts on the underside. Come to think of it, my 85 only has the sticker - the bolts are laying in the garage somewhere.

I'm planning on take the top of the Blazer this summer....I haven't really looked ot see about the bolts yet. Do I have to take off the side panels to get the bolts off? ARGH....I hope not, what a pain that will be!

Does anyone actually put those bolts back in? I might actually get to take my top off this year (weather permitting) I dont see any real reason to put them back in...anyone?

You can get to them by pulling the rear speaker out, if you've got an extension long enough to reach the bolt, and 2 wobbles. Once you get them out, you can throw them away - mine have been out forever and it's never leaked.
