Went in to get an 8 point star in the style of a modern nautical star on my elbow. Representing finding my direction(to go with the "Lost At Sea"). Frank says to me "You eventually want an old school sleeve right?" Me-"well yea". Frank- "Ok, grab a few pieces out of these books and lets go to town". He threw me a Sailor Jerry Book and the German version of Sailor Jerry, who's name escapes me at the moment. I picked a few pieces from each and he went to town designing them. Instead of using any part of the Sailor Jerry piece he designed that piece, one off for me. And the German piece he just changed it up to make it last better and be a little larger. Star he hand drew, though there is no way of getting around saying that is one off.

    Here we go:

He is going to fill my forearm with old school pieces, I just have to get a better idea of what I want.

yes, just one sitting. Frank is awesome. He was just planning to do the outline and black shading but then we had a little more time(like 20 or 30 minutes) and he said "eh I'm gonna do as much color as I can". And bam, 2 of the pieces were finished, haha. Had time to do my elbow too but didn't want to agitate it since it was already swollen at that point. Elbow is by no means a fun spot.

And yes, I went in for JUST the star and walked out like that. It will all tie together into an old school sleeve with a new school twist. See those little stars and all around the colored pieces? They will be used as filler to fill in my entire forearm when I get a few more pieces on the other side of that arm.

Thinking pinup chick, but I'm not certain yet. Definetally clothed, I'm not doing a naked chick on the forearm. Or anywhere actually, I refuse to show nipple or privates in my tattoos. The art doesn't need that.
