go I get rid of IE7?

Its totally screwed up my computer, and I can't get rid of it. I go to the add/remove program and try to uninstall it, and it goes for a little bit then says it can't find several files and aborts uninstalling it!!!

I have even tried to dowload it again, thinking that it would replace/fix the missing files. and now i can't get on the internet at all!!  I have to use another computer.

I have also ran virus scans, ad aware..blah blah blah...

i'm about to take an axe to my computer!

I agree on the Systems Restore. It's probably your only hope to get to a point before IE7 was installed. If not then it's going to be tough. IE7 roots itself into everything. Unfortunately a complete system (OS) rebuild is the only absolutely sure way I know of.

    IE7 sucks.

    :haha: :haha: :haha:

    I thought IE7 was a virus :doah: !!

You should be able to look up your system and it should say when you installed it. Or, take a W.A.G. and set System Restore back to that.

You shouldn't lose any pics and stuff.

I had nothing but problems once I installed IE7 and tried everything to fix the problem. The best fix I found was to download FireFox and never use windows again. Now I am trouble free and it's much faster.........
