I kind of like #9 myself:How to be a Good Democrat

    1. You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by
    a lack of federal funding.

    2. You have to believe that the same teacher who
can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow
qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

    3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of
law-abiding Americans are more of a threat, than
U.S. nuclear weapons technology, in the hands of
    Chinese communists.

    4. You have to believe that there was no art
    before Federal funding.

    5. You have to believe that global temperatures
are less affected by cyclical, documented changes
in the earth's climate, and more affected by
    yuppies driving SUVs.

    6. You have to believe that gender roles are
    artificial but being
    homosexual is natural.

    7. You have to be against capital punishment but
    support abortion on demand.

    8. You have to believe that businesses create
    oppression and governments create prosperity.

    9. You have to believe that hunters don't care
about nature, but loony activists who've never
    been outside of Seattle do.

    10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more
important than actually doing something to earn
    it.

    11. You have to believe the military, not corrupt
    politicians, start wars.

    12. You have to believe the NRA is bad, because it
supports certain parts of the Constitution, while
the ACLU is good because it supports certain other
    parts of the Constitution.

    13. You have to believe that taxes are too low,
but ATM fees are too high.

    14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and
Gloria Steinem are more important to American
history than Thomas Jefferson, General Robert E.
    Lee or Thomas Edison.

    15. You have to believe that standardized tests
are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides
    aren't.

    16. You have to believe Hillary Clinton is really
a lady and that it takes a village to raise
children. (Which village is going to raise Katrina
Swett's tribe should she get elected, God
    forbid???)

    17. You have to believe that the only reason
socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried,
is because the right people haven't been in
    charge.

    18. You have to believe conservatives telling the
truth belong in jail, but a liar and sex offender
    belongs in the White House.

    19. You have to believe that homosexual parades
    displaying drag, transvestites and bestiality
should be constitutionally protected and manger
scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

    20. You have to believe that illegal Democratic
Party funding by the Chinese is somehow in the
best interest of the United States.

    21. You have to believe that this letter is part
of a vast right wing conspiracy.

    22. And finally, in order to get a Democrat
elected, you must let in a flood of illegal
immigrants that do not know any better, get them
driver's licenses and register them to vote!!

    What Would Reagan Do?
    A response to George Will
    By Matthew Burg
President Reagan is, and probably will be, for a very long time to come, one of the greatest U.S. Presidents to set foot in the oval office. If Ronald Reagan were president today, there would be no mid-east conflict involving the United States, there would be a balanced budget, and this great country would be revered and respected as it should be. The liberal media and several pompous senators and congressmen, have led this country down a path that will leave an open sore on this country’s reputation for probably decades to come.
Look deeply into the ill conceived fodder that George Will, a supposed “friend to Conservatives”, vomited onto the pages of The Washington Post, a supposed objective, national newspaper. What caused this hatred of such a great man as Ronald Reagan? How can he harbor such vitriol, and have it exist for such a long period of time? Did President Reagan spill the liberals bong water?

George Will states in his article titled “Conservatives must temper worship of Reaganism”, Published in the Washington Post, that “conservatives should face the fact that Reaganism cannot define Conservatism”. He references J. Patrick Diggins’ book, “Ronald Reagan: Fate, Freedom and the Making of history.” That inappropriately casts President Reagan as the antithesis to conservatism. I believe Diggins and Will, have misconstrued the true meaning of Conservatism, which in turn negates both their arguments. Although, both are well written and very articulate, they make some rather desperate attempts to define Conservatism in its’ modern sense, and do a spotty job of it!

Ann Coulter, a very prominent and out spoken Conservative Pundit, has gone as far to say that “Had Ronald Reagan finished the job he started, America today would be a far greater country than it has become.” I tend to think along these lines also, but am afraid to follow Ann’s lead too far, due to her almost innate ability to ruffle everyone’s feathers, not just those that oppose her.
I believe that liberals hate America, and would have us all in chains, working only to promote the welfare of the state. To increase the sheer size of the government; a sort of job security, point of view! I think that liberals are well-intentioned, but they fail to see the real consequences of their actions.
Ronald Reagan had his eyes set on reducing the size of the government, and reducing Americans dependence on the same. Did President Reagan do these things purely from a point of self promotion; or from a standpoint of wanting what was right for America? I beg the latter, as President Reagan had no point to promote himself. He came to the presidency with a mind to clean up the problems of the past and make the running of this country something that could be done while simultaneously shaking the foundations of tyranny and Communism.
I can’t blame Will for his spitefulness, knowing full well that liberals have had their collective asses handed to them in years past; now, who wouldn’t be upset about that? Who can blame the liberals for being vindictive? They are demonized at every turn, and heckled at most social gatherings. I’m usually the one doing the heckling, but also try to say “when” now and again, so as to not get too carried away.

President Reagan came into office with a job to do, that was to get the hostages out of Iran, alive and in good condition. This he did, with his Hollywood reputation of being a larger than life western cowboy. Could President Reagan have accomplished that any other way? I don’t believe so.
Will, would have one believe that President Reagan was a godless heathen, ready to rain fire down on those that did not submit to his will. When in reality President Reagan just used his reputation to bring that ordeal to an abrupt end. President Reagan, a devote Christian, turned out to be one of this country’s best negotiators. He did what was required of him to do at the time. Although, President Reagan did put that lippy little scrapper of a dictator, Momar Khadafi, in his place, by having an F-111 deposit a 2000 pound laser guided bomb through Khadafi’s bathroom window. A little overkill, but, it got the job done.
George Will calls himself a Republican, yet he can’t seem to keep his liberal views out of his commentary. Once again to fault the liberals, this gentleman, leans so far to the left that it reeks of self loathing and inward betrayal, cowardice and contempt. Weakness, a sin punishable by death! One can only imagine how this guy sleeps at night. How can he call himself a Republican on one hand, while patting his fellow conservatives on the back with a knife in his other hand?
Will would end his day by dropping us at the steps of the local food bank, to feed ourselves, and God forbid we attempt to pray…to give thanks for what we are about to partake in, and then rush us off to cash our welfare checks, so we can make our SUV payment. Only to do it all over again next month, due to the cycle the liberals initiated.

Will also states, “Ronald Reagan, for all intents and purposes allowed Americans to “forget about God” that God is an existential way of looking at ones own conscience”. We all know that President Reagan was a very religious man, in fact, a devout Christian. I get the feeling that George Will didn’t give me enough information to draw an accurate conclusion, whether by omission or purposeful deceit; but, I must give him the benefit of the doubt, just to be fair, (although, a true liberal would never give anyone the benefit of the doubt.)
I’m almost afraid to say more as the Black Helicopters from Madeline Albright‘s office have began to show up outside. Click, click… (My pistol cocking under the table)
In summation, George Will’s article does raise a rather interesting point, because it shows how conservatives have grasped onto what they believe to be a real hero of our time. His efforts are in vain, due to the “lack” of facts that he so blatantly backs himself up with. Once again proving that President Reagan was indeed a great man and leader, and those of great stature are always hated for it. Coupled with the liberals’ inability to deal with facts and do nothing but hurl insults and bitterness. One has to wonder if President Reagan didn’t break the “Rule of all Rules”… spilling the Liberals Bong water?
