Got a 91 TBI with the normal canister style fuel filter. Just want to know if I can just unhook the fuel filter and swap it, or if I have to do a special procedure to relase the pressure on the lines. Chilton's implies that TBI units automatically release pressure each time the engine is shut down...

    Well?

The rebuild kit I just bought states to pull the fuse for the fuel pump and then start the truck. It worked for me!

Just take the filter off. It will spill a little gas, probably an ounce or two, it's no big deal.
