there is a 3rd bearing if you take your spindle off. your axle shafts rides on that 3rd bearing as it goes through the spindle.

There are only two wheel bearings on each rotor. The guy may have also sold you the spindle bearing which the outer axle rides on, this bearing is a torrington bearing not like the wheel bearings and it is only about maybe an inch and a half in diameter with needle bearings in it. The outer bearing will just fall out of the hub once you have the nut off.

you unbolt it and whack it, but be sure not to mess up the surface of where the bearing rides on the spindel

I don't think that anyone has answered your question yet. Once you remove your spindle from the knuckle. you will see the needle bearing inside. Hit it with a punch from the inside of the spindle towards the outside. you don't have to be carefull with it since you are replacing it. Once you get it out and clean everything up, get a socket or something that is the same diameter as the bearing and tap it in carefully. Make sure you are going in evenly and not at an angle or you will damage the beariing. Grease it up real good and replace both seals(since it's already off) and your done.

word of warning, when punching it out from the inside, BE CAREFUL not to break the bearing apart. I did this and busted the bearing apart till it was just a flat metal ring inside the spindle. Took me a week to get it out.
