We had a cat in a tree by my work for about 4hrs today, it climbed down on it's own.
When I thought it wasn't going down I was planning on shimmying up the tree (two pines close enough to put back against one and "walk" up) and have some people with a sheet below, I'm sure the cat wouldn't want to come down with me so I'd just throw it into a waiting sheet. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
    Dunno if that helps.... /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

ask around the neighboorhood for a ladder? Someone must have one. Then just climb up to the branch, and keep climbing till you come near.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it if it isn't your cat. It'll come down sooner or later. If you must, you could always call the humane socity.

It's a cat. It will come down when it's hungry enough. If you try to go up and get it the thing will most likely jump when you get within 6 feet of it. They can survive a leap from 30 feet. Hell they can survive a leap from a 10 story bulding...
