Probably join some activist group like the Blue Ribbon Coalition. We need to pool resources like the commie greenies do.

First step is to find out whos road it is. County, BLM, FS, private, ect. Go to the local couthouse to start if it was a public road. Look for the oldest map you can find. If its private then you need to find the land owner. Also, try to figgure out how long it was in use, the closure date, and who closed it. It may have been closed improperly/illegally. Once you have some good facts start talking to BRC- http://www.sharetrails.org/ Del Albright- http://www.delalbright.com/ United- www.ufwda.org local 4WD orgs- http://www.cal4wheel.com/ & clubs- (I don't know).
