Living here in Indy now and it seems this time of year the Wolf Spiders start getting bad. I'm living in an apartment and I think the neighbors are running them off somehow because I've killed 4-5 just today in an 8 hour time period? Any kind of plants, sprays (pet safe) or whatever?

I have BIG ones tooooooo AHHHHH!!

We have some "wood" spiders here lately that are more like tarantulas in size! :yikes: :yikes: --I HATE those F'n things!--I've been bitten in my sleep a few times, and the bites dont just tickle!..its tough to get rid of them, without killing your pets along with them if you use pest sprays...Borax powder works on ants..might repel or kill spiders too,and pets usually wont eat it..

One person I asked about them said moisture is what spiders need most, other than bugs for food...get rid of the water supply, and they will wizzle up and die!.he suggested turning the heat up for a few hours!--.so far,my cat has been the best thing --he stalks them and eats them!..but he hasnt gotten all of them--and I keep a wary eye out for them, especially out in my garage, where I killed one 3" in diameter!...wish I had a gecko lizard or a chamelion lizard now like I had when I was a kid....

It's when they start to try getting rid of you that you have to worry.

Get some of those glue sticky spider traps they work good. They have an attractant that draws the spiders to them they get stuck and die.
