I just installed a 3 inch bodylift on my 79 Jimmy. It went great and I had no problems doing it. I do have a question concerning the bumpers. I need to know how to raise them 3 inches. Does anybody have any plans or drawings that show how. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Its kinda hard to see but if you go to my pics, (link in my sig) and look at the pic of the Blazer w/ no front end on it (pic taken from the right side front) Blow up the pic to largest and you can sorta see the how it was done. BTW I did NOT do this. If I had done it I would have done a nicer job, but the pic can give you an idea.

My rig is an 86, and I am not sure how much difference there is between the different front end designs.

I would like to know the same thing I am interested in putting three inch body on my 90k5 and I would have done it already if I knew of a way to move bumpers up.

On a 79 blazer the easiest way to relocate your bumper 3" higher is to remove the bumper, cut the frame horn vertically and move it up 3" then weld it back together with some reinforcements, reinstall bumper and your done. On 81 and later blazers the bumper bolts to brackets that bolt to the frame and they sell relocate brackets for these years.

On my rig I just cut the frame and re-located it up 3" Check my siggy. The bumper fits nice and tight on the front.
