If you pull the covers off the ratio should be stamped on the edge of the ring gear. 41:10 is 4.10, 41:11 is 3.73...and I would assume 41:9 is 4.56, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
The larger number is the number of teeth on the ring gear, the smaller number is the number of teeth on the pinion gear.

I marked the drum and spun it around once and the pinion spun around just about 4 1/2 times, is this safe to go by?

Spinning the drum is a good way to do it.You said that you only turned it one revolution. You must have a locked rear as with an open diff you have to turn the wheel twice.Of course the sure fire way to find out is pull the cover and get the numbers from the ring gear.

You have 4.56 front and rear.If the 10 beside the 41 is confusing you, that is because the '10 85' is the manufactures date of production.

You have 4.56 gears. 41/9 =4.56. I have the same markings on my 14B & D60 I got from Roger and they are 4.56. It also has a tag on the bottom of the diff that indicates 4.56. What did you think you were getting?

The 41 10 thru me off. I am not a gear man. Ok now I feel a hell of a lot better.
Besides that the internals of my 60 have almost zero miles on them and the 14 bolt has very too.
Thanks everyone, have a good night. Pete.
