    Hey,
Stock 82 10 bolt, 28 spline, how do you take the spiders out ? Take c-clips out, pull shafts out, WHat next ? how do you remove that major center shaft in thecenter of the carrier ? don't the spiders basically fall out after that shaft is taken out.(this is an open carrier) With some of the mini spools, you need c-clip eliminators, but with this one you don't have to suppposedlly. we will find out and i'll report back for all those in need of traction on a shoe-string budget.

One end of the pinion shaft that the spider gears ride on has a bolt that holds it into the carrier. It's a long bolt, with a tiny head. I think a 5/16's wrench fits it. Remove that bolt and the pin will slide right out. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

As far as I have been able to find out you only need c-clip eliminators(which always leak) for the full spools, the mini spool should fit right in there without any other modifications.

Ask desertdualler. He advises against this setup.
