anyone know a way to tell if timing chain is stretched in 350 engine without disassembling it ?

how much rotational slop(chain slop) should be with 8" 350 balancer when you grab it by hand and turn one way then back other til chain tightens up on oppositie side ??

    thanks

I wouldn't want to see anymore than 2-4 degree's of slop. Although I have seen some aftermarket chains with that, new!

    i have a new Q:
could stretched chain cause exhaust valve to open too soon, as in before compression stroke firing is over ?
