how to tell the difference in water pump pulleys

    I feel stupid for asking but what is the easiest way to tell if a water pump pulley is for a long or short pump?

    Sometimes waterpump pulleys are same.difference is in crank pulleys and hardware mounts.If option,stick on pump and see how it lines up with others.Hope that helps. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    I don't know. Take the pulley to the local parts counter and see if the parts guys would be kind enough to let you compare the two of them side by side.
