how to test OIL pressure sensor and gauge

    what can i do to test these parts? and how do i tell if its working correctly?

    Thread the sensor into a T, put a mechanical gage in the T, and pressurize it with air. As you increase the air, the gage on the dash should correspond with the pressure you put to the sensor. Don't forget to ground the sensor or T to a ground before you look at the dash gage. The sensor changes resistance with pressure, using the threads of the sensor as ground and the terminal as the point of resistance. Hope that made sense....
