How was Easter Weekend

Discussion in 'OffRoad Design' started by **DONOTDELETE**, Apr 2, 2002.

Stephen, how was Easter weekend? Maybe I will be able to make that trip someday - but for now - I'm stuck in ffflllaaattt Kansas!

I heard Stephen had a little problem, and had to be winched by a jeep /forums/images/icons/smile.gif.

Given everything that went wrong, it was a pretty good week. I broke a valve spring in Pritchett and yes, at one point a jeep was hooked up. Maybe a better way to put it would be to say the power unit for the winch was a jeep, since he had to be tied to at least 1 other TRUCK to put any serious pull on my hog of a K5.
But we got out, put a new spring in it and ran the rest of the week.
I was a little discouraged by the size of the crowd around Moab friday and saturday. Lots of folks that came just for the party, which I normally don't mind but they seem to be the ones that do the most damage to the trails and to each other, neither of which is good for the longevity of our sport.
Other than that, lots of good wheelin'. Got to watch some guys do things they'd never done before, like climb the rocker knocker, so that was cool.

Myself I loved Easter Weekend and even though I ran Wednesday and I unfortunately didn't get to see Stephen's Jimmy on Lower Helldorado that day I got to see it in action on the escalator and let me tell you it is huge and totally kicks ass on any other thing I saw in moab.... period.

Agreed, although I didn't see Stephen's Jimmy on Upper Helldorado I did witness 2 guys go up the waterfall without a winch. They were in buggies that had 120" wheelbases. Anyway I'm sure that I'll see you all at blazerbash.

Be careful what you wish for, it could be a mess.
I am getting the itch though. I've decided to go ahead and chop the half cab, maybe if I drop the suspension a bit more I'll have a decent chance in there, we'll see.

I like the fenders Andy! I have some front end mods in mind but not exactly like that....
