The Midwest Spring K5 Thing was a success. I would like to thank all the people who attended. We had a lot of people in attendance. We sure picked a great group of people to wheel with. All people were a pleasure to be around and we did not have any personality conflits. Sometimes its rare to meet people from all walks of life and not have some sort of conflict. We had some trail carnage in the form of broken front axle, some bent sheetmetal, Broken Fender Flare, and more. Overall, we had some very trail capable rigs on this run. Nobody had trouble going through the trails we traveled. The nice part about Potosi, there are some VERY tough obsticles to play on that will test the very limits of any rig. I learned my limits this weekend and I know what I need to upgrade.

I do not want to disclose too much about the event just yet, because I want to have everyone read the trail report. Those who attended can respond with any info they want, but I would like to have you not post too many pics just yet. Lets keep them in suspense for a few days until I get the trail reports up...

One thing is for sure, we didnt drive over any Bronco II's nor did we deface the environment. I think everyone learned something this weekend and it was a pleasure leading you around my neck of the woods. We will definately have a Bigger and Better event next year. Perhaps, a littler warmer time of year could help, aye guys? [IMG][IMG]

I can't say I didn't do anything to the environment....that poor schmuck behind me when that "chunk" came off didn't think too happy about me....and I wonder if Illinois likes having gobs of Missouri mud added to the collection!!!

    LOL...

My apartment complex just called...they want me to move my Blazer and clean up the "piles". LOL. Someone stepped in one last night...

I had a great time. Every trail was pretty much a challange for my stock dodge sport. But i was very impressed. I am sure next year i will have my jimmy up and running. I would like to thank neil for setting this all up for us and letting me attend even though i didn't have my jimmy done yet. I can't wait to see everyone next year. Thanks i had a blast.

I had a BLAST. I did things with my Blazer I did not think were possible yet thanks to great spotting and great advise from some knowledgeable people. I think the Blazer is taking on a new direction after seeing some of the very capable rigs that attended! I consider my self very lucky to have met the people I met this weekend and look forward to wheeling with them again and again. A very BIG thank you goes out to Neil for putting this together, as well as a thank you for Steve, if it were not for him and this web site I am sure this type of trip would have been a lot farther down the road for me.

What a great time! I was fortunate to meet a great group of people that love to do the same thing I do....get offroad! Thanks again to Neil and Marietta for all the time and effort that you guys invested. My thanks go out (again) to all that helped to do the trail repairs. Hope this will mean an annual "Midwest Spring K5 Thing". I can't wait. todd

Best damn three days of my life. I learned so much from everybody. I think besides the wheelin that was the best part. It was nice to see so many guys who were into the same thing as me and willing to show me what I need to do to my truck to do the same things they can. It was so much fun ( except for the broken fender flare and crushed rocker panel ). Thanks again to Neil and Marietta. I hope to be there again next year and I hope to see a lot more Blazers there next year.

Sorry I have taken so long to post my thanks for such a great offroading adventure Mudzer. I have lived in Missouri most of my life and did not realize we had such great places to play. The group of guys we wheeled with were really a stand up bunch of guys that I would go wheeling with in a second. I look forward to doing this again, as soon as I get the crossover steering worked out. Thanks again to everyone who put this event together and those who particapeted.
