Ok, so this is the next deal I found, and it´s a weird one[IMG]. A guy is selling ONE Brodix-8 and ONE Bowtie head as a pair. Both equipped with 2.05 & 1.6 valves, beefy springs (came from a rollercam engine) and they´re port matched to eachother. He´s asking about $400 for the pair. Do or don´t ?

Does he have some 10.5 to 1 pistons for one side and 12.5 to 1 for the other? [IMG] j/k!
I'd pass. You'd never get them to flow equally!

i have heard that heads must be matched if they are not custom made.....something to do with even power distribution on the pistons and crank during the combustion process....or something.....

Ok, thanx for your replies. Got a reply from the seller today and he told me he had been using ´em on his 650 hp 355 with no problems whatsoever. But he adviced me NOT to buy them simply because of the HUGE port job they´ve got on ´em. That, and the fact those springs matched to a high lift rollecam would eat my hydraulic lifters, spit em out, and eat them again[IMG].

Btw, I know a matched pair is the way to go, this was just a (weird) way to get something I´d normally NEVER afford. Brodix heads are like......untouchable[IMG].

    Have a nice weekend y´all / Andreas
