I can get one for $500. Body in decent shape (no rust holes), no original motor/tranny (comes with non-original motor and tranny though). The interior is about halfway there.

Whaddya think? Go for it, get it and sit on it, restomod (R/T clone, etc)?

Do it , they are a underrated body style , and gorgeous if you ask me . My parents had several . I think I can dig up a pic when I get home of moms 73 she had from 80-83 . She sold it when we moved to AZ and bought a 80 K5 that turned into a S10 in 88 :thumb:

Get it. I have a 1971 440 with a 727 automatic tranny to sell you. The motor has a forged steel crank, too. Runs good.

If the body is good, get it !!!!!! That would make a nice street toy. I'd really like too get a 68 Charger. I love the one they used in the Blade movies. [IMG] The 68 has round tail lights and round turn lights.

:wink1: Not a problem man I just hope you understand that it is getting old with you getting on me when sometimes you are the one who is wrong. I am going to try and drop all of this since it is pointless to keep doing this sort of thing in everyone's threads. Agreed?

for 500 Id go for it, Im a big time 69 Charger fan, but its cool to see the other Chargers done up too. I liked that style the 2nd best.

Ive had my eye on this 68 forever, but its deteriorating fast. Old guy bought it new I think and is proceding to drive it into the ground.

Get it while it's cheap.. I was at the mopars @ carlisle event this past june, and saw ripped up seats for a 69 charger going for 500 bucks.. same with rusty hoods for 'cudas.. and yes, people bought them without batting an eye..

I'm really itching to get home now... only about 5 weeks left in this place. Now, I just really need to make a plan so that when I move back to VA from KS in a year and a half I'll be able to take the charger with me. Hopefully I'll have the '78 gone by then so I'll only have 3 vehicles to move instead of 4. Then there's storage, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

With the rising prices of the older muscle cars, there's no way I can pass this deal up. I'd still much rather have a 68-69 GTO, but the 72 charger has a lot of the styling cues I find attractive in the GTO's. Since it doesn't have the numbers-matching drivetrain, I also have some freedom to have fun with it... e.g. Wes' 440 ;)
