Finally redoing my website and need a quick bit of help. My HTML skills are very basic. I'm trying to put 2 things on the same line. here is how I have it setup right now:

    <p><h3 align=left>Vehicles</h3> <h3 align=right>Animals</h3></p>

Now the first one is fine. It is on the left and on the line I want it on. But the second one, it comes out on the right like it should, but it comes on the line BELOW the previous one. I want it on the SAME line. Trying to line things up so I can put images below them and work them as links.

I was just playing around trying to figure it out, but I don't think it can be done with the align tags.

You can probably try using a table with one row and two columns, make the first cell align left and the second align right.

    Try that....
play with the numbers in the table tab to see what they do to each cell, then when you get it where you want it you change the border to 0 so you cant see the lines.

    <TABLE width="95%" border="1" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="4">

Either this or go do frames for both sides, fix them with no scroll bars. Get a copy of "HTML for Dummies". I have the 4th Edition book and it's helped me tremendously.

Glad to see others are still coding by hand. I thought I was the only one...

my buddy was telling me to get an editor. I did and about 20 seconds of using it I was like "screw this I'm going back to coding".

Here is what I have as of right now. Need to work on it a bit, edit the images, and still want to try and get them side by side so you don't have to scroll down.

    continue work tomorrow.

thanks for that, should give me a good point to build off of

    www.mandic4x4.com/main.htm

coming along. Basically all I think I'll do to the "Main" page. Now to make the sub pages... this is going to be a HUGE pain in the ass...

I made the Tattoo page. It doesn't look really good at full screen, 1600x1200, but when I cut my resolution back to 1024x768 and look at it, its exactly how I want it. So I don't think I'll mess with it.

When you end a heading tag (ex: </h3>) and start a new one it does a new line
Your best bet would be tables in this situation, IMO.

your getting the hang of the table, good job. If you'll look at the initial table link you can change the border to 1 or more and see an outline of the table. This allows you to play with the other #'s and see what they do.
(Cell spacing and padding) and also the 90% width you can change to a pixel size so it will look the same no matter what resolution your looking at it with...play around and if u need any help let me know.

    Good Luck!

    Mike
