I read that it's not recommended to use them together. How about a limited slip such as a trutrac? Will it damage the trutrac when the fuse gives out?

The hub fuses are not for use with a DETROIT locker, that's about it. There's something in the internals that shucks teeth when they're backloaded by a suddenly breaking part. It can happen with breaking axles or the clutchrings, but since the rings always break at a pretty high torque, the wipe em right out.
The detroit seems to be the only one with a problem like that. I think it's the only way to break a detroit locker.
    Hope this helps
