Speaking of which, Is is too late to get a tag? I know nothing about hunting in OR or WA but want to get started.

Anyone willing to let me tag along? I need to learn how to butcher the deer also. I know how to butcher rabbits but not deer...

if you are just going to get a normal deer or elk rifle tag then no its not to late go to any sporting goods store and get one of the hunting regulations books they are free and find where you want to hunt and get the appropriate tags /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Don't hunt Oregon if you live in Wa. unless you have an Or. address also, otherwise it will be 10 time more expensive, due to non residency....So instead of 56 bucks it'll be 560... /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Yep, I'm still an oregon resident. My license and vehicles are all at my Bend, OR address. I just drive into WA for work during the week right now.

Maybe I should go out west to go hunting. Here in SD Ive applied for elk for 9 years running and havnt been drawn. This last 2 years I havnt even gotten drawn for a deer tag! Can go archery but all i got is the bow, no accessories /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
