    Hydo assist beginner\'s guide...

    There are tons of threads on this, I know. So many that if you do a search you'll be overwhelmed, so I had to ask. What modifications do you have to do to the steering box or do you have to buy one that has the extra holes for the lines? Can you drill your own? And after that is taken care of, all you need is the thing that bolts to the tie rod (ram), right?

    I havent done it yet
    but it looks like most guys build up the area they are going to tap by welding a fitting on
    I am guessing that the casting is too thin and curved to get a good seal on with just drilling and tapping
    I have seen a home brewed online that the guy tapped the end cap for one side and the top cap for the other
    all that is important is that you get a source from each side of the assist inside the steering box
    the pro looking ones are into the spool valve and the home brew one went for the presurized working end of the system I think
