Hydraboost nut removal...there\'s got to be an easier way

I am trying to remove the nut from the back of my hydraboost to remove the mounting plate so I can put on the new hydraboost I bought. Is there a way to get that thing off??? It's large and nothing I have will fit in the recessed area to grab onto it. I tried hitting the sides of it with a chisel and hammer but the thing will not budge. Any suggestions on how to get this thing off would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Why remove the hydro-boost backing plate? I just installed mine a couple of days ago. I ground the center two studs flush and drove them out with a punch...then it just bolts up to the 6 studs on the truck.
