Can anyone tell me the correct way to remove the rod that runs from the brake pedal into the rear of the hydroboost unit? Mine has a rubber "grommet" that presses into a "sleeve" and is hard and, short of burning it out, I'm not sure how to get it out. Any ideas? Thanks, trukman1 /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Tried that...pulled till I thought my guts were gonna pop out! No way that thing will budge and even tried a pen drill to cut it away since there's hardly any room between the two...nothing happening! I figure there has to be a trick to it but what? trukman1

I rebuild those things for a living. put the shaft into a vise and hit the body of the unit with a plastic dead bolw hammer. It will probably take a couple of shots, but it will come out.
