I get my axel back from "desertdueler" (Dan) and had him install 4.56 gears and a gov in it. Whicjh is good, but then I go and put the backing plates on, spindles ect, when I am all done I go to put on my calipers with my new pads and then start having problems.

Then I realize I cant get the calipers on, I tried and tried then I realized that I put my backing plates on wrong, I put them with the calipers directly on top, not angled to the back like they should be. Of coarse this is after I installed the axel, so since my truck is in the garage now I have to do this all over again in the garage wedged betreen a wall and a dodge. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

You could have pulled a Kyle and put the calipers on the wrong side. Let me tell you, they are a little tough to bleed that way /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    You'll get there /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Could be worse, could be wedged between a wall and a ford

I find myself making mistakes all the time that I have to go back and correct, I think it comes from having too good of a time when I'm working on my truck and not thinking things through - nothing another beer won't fix.
