    :doah: :tongue1:

After 20 years of driving cool trucks and mildly-sporty 2 door cars, Kim and I were forced to face the facts and succumb to the complaints from our daughters about cramped back seats and the lack of rear legroom.

As a result, we are now the proud  owners of our very first 4 door hatchback, a 2006 Malibu Maxx. The tradeoff, of course, is that we also for the first time have such cool toys as remote start, a pumpin' factory stereo, finger-sensitive power steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, traction control, and room galore, all combined with 25+ MPG.

Kim admitted to me today that for the first time ever, she actually felt like a "mom" while driving around. And take it from me, there's a certain degree of "cool factor" that is missing when I turn up the ol' skool Public Enemy tunes when I'm behind the wheel of the new car. :rotfl:

Oh well, at least it's not a minivan.......

    Here's a pic:

Ours has the 3.5 V6, Mike. The car has loads of jam, and is actually a pleasure to drive. Kim handled 95% of the transaction, including the test drive, and I wasn't sure what to expect when she brought it home. Let's just say I'm pleasantly surprised by how well the car seems to be put to together. I'm also very satisifed with how well it handles and performs.

Ha, I heard a guy mention that a station wagon is a bit like that bad comb over you use to try and hide the fact that you are going bald, and that owning a minivan is like embracing your baldness :D

Talk about a funny turn of events :D .

On a similar note Can Can:
My wifes car ('92 Camry) died yesterday and she doesn't want to spend another penny on it so she gave me the go-ahead to finish making my Blazer streetable :woot: ! She's going to pay for the hydroboost kit and brakeline upgrades :D ! I'm going to try to sqeeze in the PSC PS pump upgrade too!

And then for my B-day later this month I'm going to ask for the PSC ram kit to complete the hydro-steering assist set up.

What started out as a weekend project for me has now become a DD :saweet: !

We want to wait until next Jan. to buy a new vehicle so my Blazer will be my DD and she'll drive my '94 Bronco until she gets her new SUV.

Christmas in Jan.  :D !

    So Paul,

On a serious note. You guys actually really like it huh? Myself and my other half have been looking into that Malibu Maxx. I kinda like it considering it is a car. What options did you get on the car? And if you don't mind me asking what did you pay for it?

    Thanks

    Jeff
