If i buy this will my 205 that is hooked to my th350 right now, hook up to the 400 if i get the adapter? Or better yet, is it possible to just take apart the 203 slap the doubler adapter on it and then the 205 will just slide into the 203? Please somone who knows about this gimme some ideas or tell me the best thing to do with this deal, im kinda excited, Thanks

The th400 should have a 30 spline output, the th350 a 27 spline, so you'd have to change the input gear and adapter on the 205 to get it to work, for the doubler you'd need to change the 205 to a 30 spline th400 version input gear, so either way you'd have to convert the 205 to the th400 version. I'd convert it, get a doubler and enjoy the new range of crawling possibilities. the doubler is great, Blazen91 doesn't call me Lo-Lo for nothing /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

The cost of the conversion parts, ORD has the 205 parts needed. The cost to have someone tear down and reinstall the new parts into your 205. The cost to build/ modify your driveshafts. The cost if you can't build new cross members. Then you have to hook up all the shifters trans and tc. To much just ship me the trans and tc and I'll save you the grief. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

    well that is a pickle,
gearing requirements will differ with vs without the doubler.
if you are 100% going doubler then gear it high for street use.

Either way, buy the 400/203 because that is the perfect start for the doubler, and at $75 you can't go wrong!

Correction: the 400-version 205 is a 32 spline and yes, you can swap a 350-version or even a 465-version 205 to the 32-spline, but you will still need to machine the input bearing hole on the t-case housing to a larger bore to fit the larger 32-spline bearing.

Better yet, buy it and if you end up not wanting it now, sell it to me and make yourself a few bucks.

You install the steering block/arm yesterday? Thanks for meeting me.........soccer party was great.

I would say yes - go for it. Contact WMS at www.wagonermachine.com for a 30 spline Dual Transfer Case kit and you are good to go!

Thx for the replys from everyone, but when i got to the truck i looked at it and was like WTF, it was a square pan with one corner cut off, Th350 and 203 t-case, so i bought it for 50 bucks, so i can have a spare tranny, dunno what ill do with the 203, Im gonna run 4.88's turning 39.5's is that gonna work with the doubler for street use? thx frank i did put the steering arm on and the d60 is in looks pertty good, still god little stuff to do on it, but im making headway so im almost satisfied ;]

Around where I live you could get a junkyard NP205 from behind a TH400 for $100. It would save you $100 over the conversion and you possibly could even sell your current NP205 for a little change...

If you can get a turbo 400 205 for $100.00, how much with shipping would you charge me to 95111?

Sorry fellas, I don't really deal with the whole buying and selling of parts. I suppose I might could see what I can do though. I'm not positive if the place had any NP205s but I'm pretty sure he does, I was actually looking for NP203s behind TH400 and he had 3 of those there. He basically has a room full of trannies and t-cases, $100 a t-case, it might have been $100 a t-case too. I'll go check it out for yall and see if he'll ship them for you. If not I'll see what I can do about buying/shipping it myself. Anything in particular you want me to look for other than it just coming from behind a TH400?

Sorry, i meant to say it might have also been $100 per tranny and also $100 per t-case. The t-case price i'm pretty sure about.

Well crap man, 30 spline? of course i meant 32, what was i thinking, whoa braincramp, i just pulled my 205 apart and found out the front was the 30 spline so that probably stuck in my mind, I'll just go hide my head in shame. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif thanks for pointing out my little mistake. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
