What do you guys think the MINIMUM space should be from the drivers head and the top of the roll cage. Also what do you think is the avarage distance is. What is going on is in the past to beable to get the truck in the garage I had to let all the air out of the tire to ge it in I MEAN DAMM FLAT and don't want to do that again so just looking to see what I could do to make it less trouble to get the K-5/B in the garage. The other choice is the sell the 42in swampers and get some 37in BFG Krawlers. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

as much as you can get.

my head is pretty close to the halo, but padding can help.

How low does it have to be to get in the garage, DO what you got to do, keep it as far away from your head as possible, but still allow it to fit in the garage, then just put some kinda of padding up there.

or just make your garage opening taller ;P

Like Zakk said...more the better. If you put it over then your hanging by the belts if you don't have 5 points snugged down. You head will be the "clanger" of a bell. Problem is limitations of the vehicle. Get a bike helmet and wear it if you can't get enough clearence.

well, measured how? from the head to the bar on which side? a pic would help see what you want us to comment on.

i have about 4" IIRC when seated "normally" but when your wheeling, your usually hanging out the door, so tucking the cage as best you can will help maximize space

Cut the concrete and make a couple ditches for your tires then put a plate over them when not in use /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
Sorry, I had to throw that in. I'm sorry that your truck won't fit and I hate to see you change that sweet K5.

I got about 8in.My head is centered below all tubing.I tucked all the tubes right against the roof.
The problem with the garage just raise the garage door. Its not that hard to do.You will have to get a new garage door.PM me and I can explain how to do it.
When I built mine I put in a 9' doors and 10' ceilings so that way I can fit even with 44s. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
