As some of you know, I traded in the 90 K5 and got a 96 Tahoe w/ a 6" lift and 35's. Well I just scored a 76 K5 for chump change. It has a little bit of rust around the fenders, but nothing a sawzall can't handle. I am stoked. I have missed having the K5 since I traded it in, but now I have another hobby to suck up all my money and spare time. This one is going to be just barely street legal (enough to drive to Moab and local trails) WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear ya I bought a 97 tahoe for the fam and kids and we still like my 88 k-5 better .dont get me wrong the tahoe is a great truck and so comfy but it's just not the same as a straight axle .when I am in my k-5 I feel like I'm driving a truck .The IFS tahoe feels more like a big car but if it ever came down to selling one The tahoe would go first ..

Well I could live without a K5... but I would definetly have to have a 73-87 pickup then! Gotta have at least one of the classic GM iron trucks in the stable. I had been thinking of selling my rig to get a toyota or lifted S10 on 3/4 or 1 ton d-train so I could run the tight trails here, but couldn't do it. Just love these trucks too much. BTW... I'm on #2 Blazer here.

Hehehe I have a 75. Had to get it after the Lady moved me out of the 79. Looking for a 71-71 2wd to make a daily cruiser out of so I can ditch my Supra. That will have us up to 3 Blazers/Jimmy's when I find it [IMG]

I love my 87 Suburban, but I want a Blazer too. I'm searching... Now to convince my wife we really need three chevy trucks.

    Don't follow me, I won't make it.
