Yep, I finally bought my first Blazer today!! [IMG]

I traded my '85 Olds 98 four door car in for it. Got a very good deal. Almost too good! [IMG]

The K5 is an '84 with a 305, TH700R4, NP208, 10B's front and rear, and is black and silver.

This makes two vehicles in the family that are black and silver! [IMG]

Overall, it runs very strong and good for a 305. Tranny shifts very smooth and crisp too. I have no clue what gear ratio as there is no RPO code sticker anywhere.

Funny thing about the Olds car, I paid $300 for it and the dealer gave me $600 for the trade! I did not put one dime into it, except for gas and insurance, and it still needed a tune up, and a muffler. (very much in need of those things!!) [IMG]

Well, what should I do now with the Blazer? I will get pics up on my site real soon.

    <font color=blue>"Ya don't have to beat it, ya know!!!</font color=blue>

Yeah baby!!!!! What should I do now??? How 'bout building a ONE TON K5!!!

If it doesn't sit on a frame, then it isn't a truck.

You're the K30 guy and you have to ask what to do with a K5 that has 10bolts?

    Congrats Wes! It's most likely 3.73 geared - every 84 with a 305/700R4 I've ever seen was 3.73's.

    Dos mas Tecates!!!

Sounds a lot like my Jimmy and CaptCrunch's truck. Mine is an 85 black and silver. As for the gear ratio, my guess is it's got 3.73s. That's what my 85 has with the 700R4 with a 305. I believe they lowered the ratio with the 305 to help with their "power". But, mine also had a trailering package, so it could have the 3.73s from that.

    Now, let the money flow!!

Congrats on the buy. Now d60 and 14ff are in order!!!

Pugsley, just wanted to let you know that a lot of the '83-'86 305 700r4 blazers came with 3.08 gears. I have owned 3 of them in that year range and all 3 had 3.08's.

'85 K5 : Run it til it breaks, then fix it and go again!
