I just saw on the news that the ford focus sedan or something like that is getting recalled because of somethings wrong with their brakes and cruise control. How many houndred re calles has ford had in the last 80 years?I know that I'm NEVER going to own a ford product! EVER!

There will probably be another one soon. Right here on the Gulf Coast a just married couple on their way to their honeymoon were ejected from the vehicle when their seatbelts failed. The mesh tore apart and the man spent 3 days in the hospital and his new wife died. They were driving their new Ford Exploder.

Just the other day in Houston, some store got caught in a spot check, selling recalled tires still. Well they impounded the tires, but I did not hear if they got fined. Man, how stupid can you be? Anything to make a few bucks. - Steve[IMG]

I heard somewhere, don't know if it's true, that Ford is taking the recalled tires and using them as factory spares on new vehicles.

This is supposed to be legaly "ok" because a spare is rated for limited milage at limited speeds.

Anyone else heard of this?

Thomas.

My ford. Ok I admit it, I'm also a ford owner. Used to be all I would even consider buying, loved the ford line of pickups. Until I bought my first one, a '96 cause I liked the boxier body style. What a pig. 6 cylinders get me 10 mpg regularly, resale sucks, whole fuel system is an idea that should have been scrapped, I beams bend easy so i shread front tires, engine surges now and then, my syncros are going out, and I'm sick of it.

So I bought a blazer, ripped it apart, and now I'm still stuck in the ford till I can get the blazer back together.

There should be a ffoa meeting. Former Ford Owners Anoymous. I'd be there every week with milk and cookies.

A chopped, dropped, and smoothed 32 Ford Model A Tudor with a Corvette engine, tranny, and rear axle. That's what a Ford is! [IMG]
Then there's a 70's F-150 raised sky high, with 44's, a 454, TH400, Chevy NP205, Chevy D60, and a Corporate 14 FF rear. Another GOOD Ford [IMG].
