A friend of mine is going on a week vacation, so I get to fill in as the elementary school maintenance supervisor.

Who do you bet the 1st casualties will be?

    The children?
    The building?
    Me?
    The teachers?
    Or No Casualties.

Elementary school are easy, High schools not bad, Middle school the worst. I know, it's what I do. Pittsburgh Public. Just remember what Christopher Walken said to Joe Dirt, " It's mainly cleaning up vomit, every once in a while you have a problem with the boiler, smack it with a hammer a couple times it'll be fine":D

I dunno what you'll be doing, but as a kid recall the general consensis as 'i don't wanna be that guy'.....refering to the janitorial staff mainly, but dunno if they do maintenance too <shrug> good luck, and no, i'm not givin you a hard time-but kids are a PITA in groups and can show a total lack of respect for someone in a 'non-respect' (ie teacher, principle) role.

The Janitors are a different job. I get to unlock the building, maintain the boiler room and boiler, adjust thermostats, direct parking traffic in the afternoon, and tend to any problems teachers have as far as maintenance goes.

Its only for 7 days and $10/hour. Plus, I get to keep being a janitor at nights at an insurance building which is my actual job. But I get the most joy from my day job, which is being "used parts guy" and anything 4x4, tow or auto related.

Kids shouldn't be too bad anyway. Its a private Christian school. I graduated from the same school's High School. That's where I got my buses from.
