Take a look at the crew cab pics. I can't get the thumbnails working, so click on the first and just keep hitting "next".

I guess this would fall under the class of "Disco 4 by". Keep in mind, the guy did all the work in 1989 right after he bought it. I wanted to post some pics. before I took all the "stuff" off and lowered it about 4" to 6". I'll have some parts off it to sell. Check out the "Items fo..." album. it's suppose to be Items for sale ... I can't figure out this Yahoo photo stuff.

Yep, they will be for sale.

They are 13 x 36 x 16" rims. There are only 2 and they have plenty of tread left. Interested? What are they worth?

Geez, I should've posted this stuff in the for sale! I'll do that soon. Heres the scoop on the hubs. Hub #1 - one of the races is not a tight fit. it fits in snug, but not like the rest. It would need a few dings with a punch in the side of the hubs where the race fits to make the race fit tighter. Hub #2 is sorta screwed up where the seal fits. It goes in, but when I took it apart, the seal was in bad shape. I'm not sure if it was from not fitting correctly, from age or lack of lurication. I took lots of pictures so if you click the button on the right called something like "view full picture" you can see what they look like. I was going to list them on e-bay, but if anyone here is interested, let me know what you think they are worth. For anyone here, I'll let you return them if they don't work, only thing is, you'll have to eat the shipping both ways. If your local, come on by, I'm in san Francisco. I can e-mail higher res. pictures to anyone for closer examination.

    Thanks,

    Eric M.

That's no Disco4by! I would leave that truck alone and drive it the way it is! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I drove it 450 miles home. The engine service light in my face the whole time! It has 13" wide bias ply tires in the front on 6" wide dually rims and one of those 4" dropped draglinks on a 6" lift. It was the scariest ride of my lift. That truck was all over the place. When it started to wander, there was no bringing it back! After taking it for a test drive, I almost backed out of the deal. I knew how to fix it ... just had 400 miles to go before I could do it. Although, it certainly helped with negotiations.

    Well, It's an 89 and it's loaded, clean, 454 w/ 106K miles, turbo 400, 205, D60 and D70, 36" tires, 6" susp., 3" body - $7K, but you gotta remember that's in CA ... everything is overpriced here!
