I'm listening to a local call in show, and the host is inviting pro - hillary people to call in and explain why they support her..

Most can't explain their positions without bush - bashing, however many callers have said that they support her because she's well spoken, and intelligent sounding, and thus a sharp contrast to the idiot we have in there now..

Let me get this straight.. hillary being an eloquent speaker makes her qualified to be president, but reagan, who was also an eloquent speaker, was considered unqualified for the job, and had his intelligence questioned daily by the media..

I love the consistency in their thinking.. can anyone give me a reason to take democrats seriously?

To be honest I really don't think there is a reason to take Far left wing democrats seriously. Don't get me wrong because there is good and bad of both sides but in her case I pray that she never gets elected.

Obama won't be it either. I got an email about his background and he was brought up to learn Muslim. That won't go far once people learn about him. If the US elects him into office, they may as well let the Al Quada (sp) into the US to do whatever the damn please.

I dont necesarilly agree with that. Just because he is Muslim does not mean he is a Muslim Extremist Al Queda sympathizer:rolleyes:. I do think it will impact his ability to win an election in the US because of that belief though.

This is true, too many Americans would only see "He's muslim" (or grew up with it...) And not why he is really unfit...:p:

Hitler was a good speaker too... though less sinister than Hillary. Interesting that they both start with an H! Must be a sign of some kind.

As far as Barak Hussein Obama goes... I don't give a **** what his religon is, he's a democrap socialist. Well spoken, intelligent... and completely full of Karl Marx-derived bull****. What we need if we want to succeed is more desciples of Friedman and less of Marx.

Don't bet on it. People said the same thing about Kennedy, just swap "Muslim" for "Catholic" and "Al Qaeda" for "Pope/Rome".

And before someone starts with the "Christians are not evil like Muslims" Remember that was only 20 years after WWII and the pope was at best indifferent to Mussolini & Hitler.

Jek's argument is a much better reason not to elect him.

For that matter Muslims didn't kill Gandhi, Hindus did. Maybe we should go after them next.

...the above may be a Lounge maxim. :thumb:

I don't really care what religon a President is. I'm agnostic, so none of them are going to agree with me on that front. All that really matters to me with respect to Presidential characteristics is:

    1) Integrity / good moral compass
    2) capitalist ideals / taxes and spending
    3) willing to kick terrorist ass (even if certain specifics aren't popular)

Everything else is pretty much meaningless BS or backround noise to me. Abortion, education, stem cells, unions, big biz blah blah blah, whatever.

The democratic party doesn't seem to have any plans to do anything, there whole platform is "Bush is a **** up, and we surely wouldn't/couldn't **** up that bad."

"Bring the troops home" is their rally cry, but they don't realize, if we bring the troops home, we'll be sending more back soon, after we count hundreds of thousands of "innocents" dead. There is no reasoning with terrorists.

we left Vietnam and soon thereafter 3,000,000 innocent people got slaughtered. There is no question about what would happen if we cut/ran. Even if you don't care about a loss of international prestige that would be Mogadishu x eleventy-billion... you should care about the hundreds of thousands and/or millions of people that would get killed in an all out civil/religous war. Funny thing about this is, the left doesn't give a crap about the grunts (never has...), or large amounts of spending (never has), or loss of American clout in the region (never has) or the lives of Iraqis who want to be free (never has). Its ALL about getting power in Washington DC. That is their only motivation in this entire issue and its pretty obvious.... and pretty disgusting.

elquent speaking got our Govener back in. i swear.Granholm spent years in politics and knew what to say. her oponent Devos was the CEO of Amway.a good buiseness man but not a public speaker.and no political back ground.i watched two of the three debates and he sounded like a first grader up against a senior in high school.i really think he could have helped our economy, but she knew what to say and he was looking a little overwhelmed.the last rebublican we had as a govener put a cap on welfare. get a job or you're screwed.Granholm is the typical democrat. keep handing out to people that bleed the system.taxes will pay for it ... and she wonders why no one wants to open a shop here???i wish i could type faster.
