I have 2 Major problems need help quick

    I have a 89 k5 with a 350 I bought it with the fuel tank out cause the pump was bad so a new pump staps and a sending unit later the darn thing still doesn't work any help would be great???????????????????????/

    The other thing is the floor 8 inchs behind the rear seat to the tailgate and the rear beam is rotten to the bone i can see the ground any ideas where to get parts or fabricate i'm am pretty well skilled at mechanics and a fabricator cause thats my job . /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

    Are you getting any fuel to the fuel filter? Any coming out of the filter? Is the fuel pump relay on the firewall picking up. Can you hear the pump run for a few seconds after turning on the ignition switch?

    The pump is not running i know i have a good ground.
    Not sure if the relay is working or getting power don't have poper tools at house do you know the wiring diagram for the relay??????

    How about the rotten floor any ideas i will post pics when i figure out how

    jcwhitney sells replacement bed panels for the are you are mentioning. His problem isn't just the hinge area like it was with mine(I just put a piece of angle iron on and welded it fast) his whole bed sounds bad.

    No, but the sheetmetal that makes up the floorboard is cake, the support is tricky...

    I'm not sure on the fuse they all look good but the marking are rubbed off the fuse block.

    What do you think of cutting the bed out of a pickup and welding it in place or get some tubeing for the rear hinge area and put some diamond plate or flat steel /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

    the whole bed from the rear seat to the gate and support is bad
