I have a dilema

Discussion in 'The Garage' started by **DONOTDELETE**, Oct 13, 2002.

/forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif I have 35s right now and am going to put 39" swamper ssrs on my truck in about a year. I have 3.73 right now and was thinking about 4.10 gears. I been looking at tire gear ratio chart and it says I should run a 4.88 gear. Can someone please give me some advise on this matter. Its been about 12 years sense I dont any hard core wheeling. I have a TH350 and NP203 and pushing 400 plus HP.

Thank you guys for your time and help.

I run 4.56 on 38's and a th350/np203 with a 415cu stroker. I'd run 4.88's on 39's for equal on and off road driving. Steeper for a more trail purpose rig.

4.56's with 39's will be good for on road cuss you'll have lower rpms while 4.88's will be good on road and great off-road. the 4.56's might be a lil dog off-road. hope this helps. later.

I'm going to 5.13's with my 39.5's, but mine don't see much on road driving.
