Well I just traded in my 1990 K-5 (4" lift and 33's) for a 96 Tahoe with a 6" lift and 35's. The 35's rub on the fenders. I bobbed the k-5 fenders to fix this. I will probably do the same to the Tahoe. Anyone have pics of MILD fender trimming on a newer body style Chevy?

My buddy just got a '95 Tahoe 4wd and SWEARS it is an 8" suspension lift. He also has 35's and they've bent up the bottom of the front rear corners pretty good. I've told him I think its only 6" and now that you describe the same thing I would bet I am right[IMG] I told him to trim it off, we'll see.... BTW what kind of suspension lift do you have? He has a Whiplash kit, I didnt know they made a 6", but if that's an 8", man its small....for an 8" lift I mean....

My wife's Tahoe rub's with 3 inch suspension lift and 33's.. the fender flares were trimmed a little and that cut down alot on the rubbing.
Congrat's on your new Tahoe.. My wife love's hers... she'd never part with it now.. lol

    I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. www.rocko.rockcrawler.com

It has a 6" Explorer Pro-Comp lift with Rancho shocks. I trimmed the front of the air dam which helped a little, but I still need to trim a little bit off the rear of the front fender. Any pics of similar trimming would be appreciated. I think I have been banned from the K-5 forum since I traded in the Blazer.........................just kidding. I will have just as much fun wheeling this one as I did with the Blazer.

SFA time :) Just remember that when you are wheeling you hit anything somewhat hard it will nock the alignment out. My buddy has a 92 4runner and he is always nocking his alignment out of place when we do some trail 3s or 4s.

Hey I think I saw your truck tonight... Not sure... I was driving by the parking garage downtown (across from sheriff's building place) on my way home from work tonight (I took an extremely senic route) and saw a nice lifted 4 door chevy something or another.. white... If it's yours, good job finding it; if not, bring the owner here!

do they make a 4"lift and if so , do you think it would rub with 33"s, and does just the front rub from the lack of an axle...[IMG]

<font color=blue> I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy!

Yes, they make a 4" lift and I am fairly sure you could run 33's without rubbing. The rubbing is from the wheel openings being the shape that they are. If the openings were alittle more on the round side, I think they would be fine.
