$25 for a tube of Loc Tite...................................
Are you sure it wasn't a tube of anal lube???
Many of those products went up , hell I have tubes of glue here at my store , hows 15 bucks for red snot ( 3m 800 )
Twenty five bucks? Did you buy the Costco size?
Unfortunately, with tax, that is about right for the "big" 1.22 fl/oz bottle.
It roughly breaks down to about $20.49/oz. Extrapolation of that figure ends up at about $2622.72 per gallon. Kind of makes gas look cheap .
I'm gearing up for a spring swap on my truck, among other projects and wanted to make sure I had enough.
It's priced to create a psychological effect.
They don't want you excessively slathering it all over the threads. It's meant to be used sparingly.....and at THOSE prices, you will not be using any more than necessary for your assembly!!!
Never bought it before but use plenty at work. Never knew it was that high. Oh well side benifits.
Most definately. I should search high and low on the 'Net for a scientific, mathematical formula for using Loc Tite.
you got ripped, buy it online in large quantitys to make shipping negligible. http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?MfrCode=LCT&MfrPartNumber=37479
Just imagine if you had to run your car on Loc Tite. What would that work out to per gallon ? Or for that matter on bottled water makes gas look comparitively cheap.
Just imagine if you could use gasoline for loc tite.
You got ripped. A bottle of it will last the average person 5-10 years... both my red and blue bottles of it leak so I've lost more to the bottom of my toolbox than on threads.
Should've bought a body lift at that price... it comes with a bottle of Loc-Tite.
brings a new meaning to the term, seized engine.
Well here's a good one. I called Loc Tite yesterday to find out if they have a shelf life for their products. It's 12 months from the date it ships from the factory!!! What if it sits on the shelf at the store for 8 months?
