Well I just secured me 5 TSL Boggers. 35" diam. 16" width & 15" for wheels. I was going to mount them on my wheels, but I'm thinking that Eaton Beadlocks will look much better. I got all 5 tires for $650. The tires were on a trailer queen Jeep. They have never seen pavement. YEAH! Just thought I'd brag a little. I'll be picking them up next weekend.

So, what does this mean, you are going to take tires from a Jeep that has never seen pavement and put them on your pavement pounder? HAHAHAHAHAHA

The tires will only be used for trail use. I am planning on getting a trailer so I can trailer the tires to the trail head. If the trail is close, I'll just drive from home with the new tires on it. And as far as the K5 being a pavement pounder, I doubt it. My truck has quite a bit of trail duty behind it. I don't think something that I've spent as much money on recovery gear, would be for nothing. I can't justify a $800 winch for pavement duty.

Corey,

I was just razzin you. I know your rig is trail worthy, I have checked your site many times. Somebody needs to give you a hard time since you claimed you were switching to Ford. (Excursion cut in half) I just bought some 37"x13"/15 boggers for my K5 and I have thought about the same thing. I plan to drive mine eveywhere so I am not sure about what to do. I dont want to carry 4 extra tires around expecially when I go to Tellico and Attica. I guess I need an enclosed trailer to pull behind the K5. Ill probably just say heck with it and drive it with Boggers anyway. I have to drive over an hour to the nearest trailhead so I will wear them out just getting there. Does anyone know, are Boggers the same compound as a TSL SX or other swamper? Just would like some real life mileage info on Boggers.

Hey 82K5,
are you signed up for the Midwest Spring K5 Thing in Potosi, MO? You could follow Ken Brown from KC area and come on down! Lots of cool prizes and some good wheeling. Most people I know with boggers get around 8-10 K out of them and thats just street. trails will wear them out faster. If you're going to br driving long distances, trailer the truck or carry the boggers on a Hitch Haul. I've seen a few people doing that.

Mudzer,

I"m not sure about the boggers, but I do know that in just under 20,000 miles my BFG M/T's have wore down atleast 1/4". One thing to consider the Blazer weigh's in at atleast 6200lbs, and I do a lot of wheeling with the blazer. But the wear is not what I'd consider great.

And one thing else, its all right, we are all K5er's here. I'm not too worried about anything.
