I am trying to install my painless wiring harness, which should have been named P.I.T.A harness, Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 79 K5 ? This harness is supposed to be GM color coded but most of the wires don't match and the original harness had been pulled before I bought the truck, so there is no way to back trace them.

And lastly, if anyone needs a factory fuse block I have one for someone who wants it. It still has enough wire hooked to it to splice in to a harness. If anyone wants it Make a reasonable donation to keep CK5 up and pay shipping and it is yours.

3 days and I will be orange

Might want to try a Chiltons or Haynes style manual, A GM factory wiring diagram (check year-one or your dealer), the Library reference section (some have manuals on CD-ROM) or a local Community College or Mobile Electronics store.

Go to the library, find the Mitchell repair manuals in the reference section, bring a couple quarters and copy away!! Thats where I got mine. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thank you for the suggestions, /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I had forgot about the library. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I was hoping my new Chilton's had a diagram, but they said that due to complexity that my manual did not cover wiring. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif I will check the library ASAP and hope they have it, if not you will probably see this post back on the top again.
