the hardtop on my 72 is no different than anyone elses...
it leaks. anybody come up with a magic solution to get it to stop (other than taking it off and keeping it in the garage)?

Hmmm, since i'm too cheap to buy $500 worth of weather stripping...
My soft top with some holes and busted zippers seems to seal up my truck better than my hard top in the rain.

You can get those drip rail deflectors for where the windows roll up the front part of the hard top will leak right there, dripping onto your leg while your driving.

I just take the rear carpet out during the winter, and put up with some water in the bed... Its worth it once the summer rolls around and the top comes off! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Go to Home Depot and get a calking gun and some clear calk and go to it.

I think I got more wet with the hard top on in the rain than I did with it off /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

LOL, try driving around seattle with no door! Talk about rain on your leg. ALso when i HAD a door i still got mist coming up to the front due to no rear window! Damn i wish it was sunny and warm right now. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

IT's all about the Topless Truck! I wish i had a garage to keep it in, and a beater to get me to and from work!

When I was in the Army, my wiper motor on a M151 went out during the rainy season. While waiting for a new motor the armys answer was to take the roof off and fold the windsheild any time it was raining. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Yes, I used the white stuff, figuring it would blend in with the top, when i put on the new stripping for around the windows, well yeah it turned yellow, now it looks like pee.

My top doesn't leak and I didn't glue it to the Blazer. I installed new gastets a couple of years ago and it leaked, but after carefully adjusting the gaskets and properly sealing the drip rail deflectors, I have no leaks around the front of my shell.
