here's some other pics around the area. this is mild to compared to later that night, when there was about 4 foot of water in some place's, and some houses were underwater about a mile away.

this one is im sitting in a field, 2 foot water, 3-4 foot in some areas. I floated in some spots untill enough water forced its way through the body rust.

3 kids died as well, a flash flood pulled them out of a pick up bed just after getting rescued. and people were trapped in there homes. Pretty insane weather. 4 days straight of rain, about 10-15 inch's a day.

up here in NY we are getting hit pretty bad. there is more water flowing than i have ever seen, it almost looks like hurricane katrina footage, my worksite was totalled today we are estimating 3-4 million dollars in damage to our warehouse. we actually were driving a 14 foot boat inside the warehouse. the supervisors are looking into if the building will even be able to be salvaged or if we should tear it down and start from scratch

So I've gotta ask, was the kid in the 1st pic just floating by or trying to hitch a ride? :doah:
Maybe if I move to FL. I should take my K5 and add a snorkel?
Hope you guys get a break this week.

Been reading up on that. They say its due to global warming.

Who's the guy in the water infront of you in the first pic? Little scary walking through their and not knowing if your walking into a sink hole or a hole that man hole cover has been blown off buy water pressure.

Two scoops ice cream, one scoop jimmy :)

Seriously, sorry to see this is hitting you. My mother lives in Marathon, NY, across from the tiophnioga(?) river. Last year in April, her entire first floor was under water. My brother & I rebuilt it then. Really didn't need this again this year. They were calling for 14-15' OVER crest level. My Mom said it didn't look like it was going to get as high as thought, but who knows.

Wow, that kid must be tied off. Even then it is not a full harness so if something came down stream a simple rope would cut him up bad. And if he slipped or something he would probably be wedged against that gaurdrail. :eek1:

There are just so many things wrong in that pic, sorry to rain on your post :wink1:

Goes along with my thinking when I first read the title. I thought "beaver oil is just the right density for the floating of jimmys." lol
