They make good wheel chocks for the truck.
Get a real sports car....Get a Supra Turbo. few hunded bucks on them an your turing 300rwhp no problem. swap Turbo and you can hit 400 rwhp. Gee with a honda spending thousands you might get 250 at the wheels and it be totally undrivable on the street.

If you want a sports car, buy a real one. Camaro, Corvette, Trans Am or Formula, are all GOOD choices and REAL sports cars! My 98 Z28 came from the factory with 310 rwhp! It's more than that now with the few performance add ons.

No that's 310 CRANK Hp not RWHP (rear wheel hp) There is a big difference and rear wheel hp has drive line loss of about 20%. That would mean roughly 360 crank hp. Still makes a Civic look like a toy regardless. It can also get it to the ground since it's rear wheel drive and the weight transfer will drive the wheels into the ground unlike a front drive car that just spins the tires when all the weight transfers to the rear wheels at launch.

310 or 360 it still has more than enough power and it never stops pulling you into the seat. The little POS hondas and supras don't have a chance! Honestly, it doesn't have enough weight in the front. At about 125 mph it starts feeling squirelly in the front. It's almost like it is trying to take off and fly.

There is a POS Eclipse around here that definately belongs on Beaterz.com. I was at AutoZone with a friend today and we saw it and chased it down and laughed at the guy.

There is also an '80s Cavalier that is a dark gray primer color around here with a few mismatched body panels, and they guy spraypainted "Thundercat" on one side and "Super Star" on the other. Its funne as sh!t. I need to take a picture of it, I see it almost every day, I was LMAO the first few times.

Maybe I can test my articulation on my wife's 98 EX Civic? [IMG] (I hope she doesn't read this)
It's a great little car for what it is, 35MPG with a little styling, but we would never put any money into the performance, not what it was made for, just a little ecno-car. We both laugh when we see these things lowered with a coffee can exhaust, one day some kid tore out next to me in his, I wanted to slap him, first off it is our commuter car, second it was the same damn thing we were driving - I don't get it, I wanted to get the K5 and rock his world. I hear ya Steve. This Integra pulled up to me last night and he was revving his engine a lot, and I kicked his @ss up to about 50 or 60 when the barn door aerodynamics kicked in. I don't see why someone would spend money to soup up an import front wheel drive POS.

I hear that. I can't stand the damn things. The other day I was sitting at a stoplight in my Z34 Monte (I know it is FWD, but at least it is American and has a big V6) and this guy in a new Eclipse is sitting next to me. He starts revving the engine and challenging me. When the light turns green we both take off and I can see him banging through the gears. I beat him at half-throttle! Funny thing was that I had my friend behind me with him 94 Camaro, 325hp, Flowmaster 2-chambered Delta mufflers, etc that pulls up next to him and revvs his motor. Scared the heck out of the guy! I was laushing my ass off!

Those people in those Jap. cars remind me of alcoholics...they are always in denial. maybe they are mad at themselvs because they have $25k wrapped up in a $10k car that runs 15s at best. I say buy a new GT or used Z28 fo r $20K and be done with it. I live in Dallas and this city is loaded with those. They always want to play with me and my GT. I don't even waste the gas... I will win, get to the cops radar first and get the ticket... There should be a law that when anyone purchases japanese performance parts they be required to take 40 hrs of reality training...titled "Your car is slow and after you install these parts it will still be slow" or maybe "How to handle yourself while coping with a slow car" or "Facing the reality that you will never beat a muscle car"
    Just my opinion.

They are everywhere here. I live in Richardson but spend a lot of time in Plano, and they are everywhere there. I saw an Eclipse with a bunch of stickers and junk on it yesterday and we chased it, got next to the guy and laughed at him.

We bought a 97 Eclipse for my wife (she likes it, and I have to admit it IS fun to drive), and I've been pricing some parts just to pick the pace up a little. A header is like $400. That's ONE header, with much less material than the TWO Thorley Tri-Y's for my Blazer, for nearly the same price!!! Intakes and cams are made for high-RPM racing, not street driving. Exhaust systems; forget it. Everything sounds like a fart machine. It seems that there are no "mild" parts available. Sure, some might be street-legal, but not street-smart. Just pisses me off...

That would be like comparing Wayne's Jimmy(when it is finished) to my little sunbird. And that isn't a pleasant thought.

Like i said earlier that would be like parking your Jimmy (when you get it finished) on top of my little Sunbird. Don't even consider it. Remember.....I know where you live.
