Have you got to run any yet? At work I run everything Dozer, Loader, Backhoe. Probably my favorit to run is the dozer. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Maybe Steve is not letting picks be posted to help cut down on the band width. Or maybe the somthing else?
Anyways I cant remember what you said you were gonna be going to school for but keep this line of work in the back of your head it pays good and you dont really work your self that hard. It's a lot at first but once you get the hang of it it's second nature. I mean hay whats funner than crawling around in the dirt. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I don't want to seem rude, but have you actually ran all of these machines in work situations? I'm pretty good with a Skid Steer, and I run a hoe every day. It took me about 2 years to get really good on a backhoe, BTW.

Speaking as an equipment operator, there's a BIG difference between messing areound on a machine and being able to operate one to it's full potential......

I've met and worked with lots of guys who claim to be equipment operators, and when placed in a work situation where clearances, swing limits and utility exposing come into play they are just plain useless.

Like I said, I'm not trying to be an ass. I'm just trying to figure out how you classify "i've gotten to operate".

Oh yeah, the big gear is awsome /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I switch between running a cat 988G(loader)980G(loader),IT38G(loader/forklift), 375(80 ton excavator), 769D haul trucks, and various size dozers all the time at work. It the greatest job ever. Pick up 15 ton and fill a Tandem axle gravel truck with one bucket is quite a feeling of power!

Have you actually gotten to run a D575? or are you just showing a pic? Biggest dozer ive run was an HD41 allis chalmers, 525 hp 1710 ci v12 cummins. Id kill to spend some seat time in a cat D11R /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
