It rained all day yesterday, but I was still able to get something done:D

I know some of you are thinking "BFD, I do that all the time," but this was a first for me, so I'm pretty stoked :waytogo:

As I sit in a 70* space putting together my junk and hoisting a cold one, I ponder the good 'old days of laying in a snowbank for 2 hours just trying to change out a starter.
Ahhh...the heat...the heat.....but not too much, then your beer gets warm too soon.
I also remember moving in my current house in 1997 and thinking how "huge" the 2.5 car garage was, and how great it would be being able to wrench without wind/rain/snow/darkness. Now my plans call for 40x60 pole barn....

God what I would do for a real garage (My 10x18 dirt floor shed that's on the tax books as a "garage" doesn't count)

Congrats on getting yours - Someday I'll have mine :D

    bummer...

here is the deal.. i know JUST how nice it is to have a garage.. then when it has to go away along with the kitchen, king size bed, 3 other bedrooms 2 full baths....

now picture living in a room, with a TINY walk in closet you have a bath tub and toilet in a tiny room with a sink and tiny fridge in the other both that you share with a pig...

yeah, it sucks... so it the pitty me trip working cus i just wanna work on my rig....:haha:

I,m so happy!!! This weekend, my wife told me I could build my shop this spring/summer. Minimum 30X40, 10' double door with a single 7' door for the wife's car. Still trying to decide tween 8 or 10 foot side walls. I haven't had a garage in 4 years. Mama got her 3600sqft house, so I FINALLY get a shop.

That is one of the few requirements that I have for our next house - either a large shop or the room to build one. We have actually passed on a couple that my wife liked because she does not want me wrking in the drieway either.:D

Are you saying that the garage that has been "under construction" for, like, 2 years has just been completed very recently???

Construction didn't actually begin until this past summer. They poured slab sometime in July and I got my final around Thanksgiving. The entire process has been about 2 years in the making :doah:, but life never seems to go as planned and it was difficult getting the funding for this by myself (still need a sugar daddy if anybody knows one;) )

Still got some things to do like sheetrock and cabinets, but I'm broke now, so I'll have to do a little at a time.
