Check out what I found in my email inbox this evening!!

    "Dear Mr Russell Ziegler,

Congratulations on your admission to the BSc General program at the University of Alberta for the Fall Term of 2006!

For more information on your admission please review the Admission Application Status page in Bear Tracks, https://www.beartracks.ualberta.ca.

    Regards,

Office of the Registrar & Student Awards"

    Woohoo!!

I applied at both the University of Alberta, and a few local colleges as well, with the feeling that my registration money with the U of A was wasted... Talk about a total shocker to get acceptance there!

The University of Alberta is the most prestigious unviersity in Western Canada, and is one of the most in Canada. Its basically like the Canadian version of Harvard, or Yale! The competition to get in is extremely stiff, and even with my upgrading, I didn't think I'd have what it takes to get in, but apparantly I was wrong, LOL

First year is a general course that all Engineering students take, but for second year I am planning on majoring in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Electrical Engineering :)

Nice. Hope you have the math skills, that's what kept me out of engineering!

    Show off:whistle:

Congrats!! I regret not taking the small scholarships I was given in high school for college. I don't regret going in the US Air Force, just regret not going to college.
