So I can buy a 1942 Pontiac Fastback Coupe.... It's gorgeous.... despite the rust and destroyed interior.

BTW are You sure it's a 42 and not a 41? Cause pretty much all production stopped in early 42 for the war effort.

The ad says "rare pre-war 42". I haven't seen it in person since it's a state away.

Like I have a clue what a "fastback coupe" Pontiac would be....much less a year. Mainly due that I have no interest in anything pre 1963

Then that means that it is a 41 or older since pretty much all car production stopped soon after Pearl Harbor. Most of the facory's switched over to the war effort. About the only vehicles produced between 41-45 were the jeep, power wagon and the GM duece and a half.

They actually look the same as a 41 so they were probably just some leftovers. Rare non-the-less if its titled as a 42.

I used to own a 42 Ford Businessman's Coupe. It was not a govt model, cause it still had all the normal chrome.

Eh, who knows. Since I don't have $2,500 I'm not gonna drive to BFE Wyoming to look at it. Coul be a '42, but probably is a '41.

I still had some fun photochopping it.

chop the top a bit, lower it a touch, slap a 500 caddy and th400 in it and give it a nice paint job with some white walls.

    I'd be happy.

Someday, someday.... actually I was looking for a '50 Buick when I came by the Pontiac.
