Probably isn't what you are looking for, but it's worth a try. Back when I went mudding (not anymore), I did stupid things like this...

Well you probably want a pic of a blazer... But, with the new top, I think my truck could pass for a limo blazer /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif But then again it would take a 30" sticker to fit the truck on /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I don't recall seeing much grass or mud in Moab last year...

Steve, you may need to get a little more specific on you pic requirements! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    Steve,

    That logo isn't bad.....

The upper lettering reminds me of last years logo with what I call the "razor lettering"...it has a nice sharp, edgy look....the lower lettering is too smooth and look out-of-place though.

The other thing that seems off is that the truck pic is slightly de-focused but the lettering is crisply-focused. If there was a way to photochop that truck image to punch it up a little and add some "sharpen edges" type of effect it might balance the design better...?

I think you should use UAV as the poster child though. I think it still represents (for the time being) a dual-purpose K5, which is what most of us are still interested in owning. I think if there has to be only one K5 in the logo, it should represent that crowd..... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah, they got hurt all right.....they fell off the side of a cliff.

What's amazing is that nobody died in that vehicle. The truck itself is still wedged in the side of Lion's Back since there's no way to remove it (except maybe by chopper)... it was a creepy reminder of the dangers there.

Kinda crushed my enthusiasm to drive up Lions Back when I saw it....a couple other guys in our group were unphased by it and still made the LOOOONG drive up. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I think you are missing the point, my guess is that the truck pic is slightly de-focused to make the lettering stand out, I see this type of art all the time, kind of like backgrounds that are whitewashed with the text in bold or whatever the advertiser wants the focus to be.

Well I might be "missing it"....but it's still too much of a contrast! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

It might be cool to do some "cartooning" of the truck image.....kinda like that one car commercial (is it the Toyota Matrix?) where it's live action, and then it becomes like animation with more vibrant colors????

    The answers are out there......

Isn't the purpose of the pic to attract people to BB03? Somehow, I think seeing pics of a truck tumbling off a cliff might not be the best way to get people interested /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

My favorite pic from last year was the one of Tori on that scary looking cliff /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

That's the funny thing about art, it's all subjective. I didn't pick out the image, and generally you have to have something out of focus to create contrast. The pic just happened to be kind of blurry already.
The only reason I used the different type at the bottom is because the numbers were UGLY and hard to read in the chipped font. And, I think it's easier on the eyes after looking at all the detail in the top. It's not finished yet, but thanks for the comments everyone. Besides, I don't make the final call on everything, Steve does.. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
